French producer Erell Ranson's affinity for the deeper shades of Detroit sound is well known, but his ability to absorb those influences and create beautiful music with his own signature is the reason we're so excited to welcome him into our Barba  family.

  • Hello each and everyone.
As summer winds down and we start looking towards the European indoor season, we're extremely excited to announce four new signings to our growing roster of music-makers and DJs. We are extremely proud to welcome all four talents, both established and upcoming, to our roster.

  • After the well received success of our last release by Esa, Croatia’s finest bovine inspired label is excited to announce our next moo-sical offering. This time we’ve cast our A&R net eastwards and have snared Russian producer Denis Korsunskiy, aka Information Ghetto. Also we have Specter and Aubrey on remixes duty!

  • Chicago Damn has started leaking some details of his debut album which is due to land sometime this autumn. We can’t give much away at the moment, except to let you know that the album is called ‘Experiments Must Continue’ and that it will a 2x12” release on his own Chicago Damn label.

  • Respected Leeds night Butter Side Up asked Franklin do the latest instalment of their podcast and he joins a long line of top-notch heads on this excellent mix series. We advise that you check it out. On top of this he also has a new EP forthcoming under his syrupy Mudkid pseudonym.

  • As summers starts to heat up we’re very glad to have Berlin-based DJ/producer Franklin De Costa (aka Mudkid, DCNT, R-Type and Archaetech) sign with Burek’s booking agency wing for European bookings. With an extensive discography stretching back to the late 90s, he’s been at the forefront of the minimal movement, laid out the framework for the deep house resurgence and experimented with the leftfield

  • As the start of the summer festival season creeps ever closer, we’d like to tell you about some of the appearances of our peeps have confirmed so far. Check it out!

  • Here at Burek we pride ourselves on being globally minded, so we’re delighted to announce that Australian drum machine obsessive and connoisseur beatsmith Inkswel is the latest addition to our agency wing.

  • Burek Agency roster member Esa is playing at London’s premiere night spot, Fabric, on May 18th as part of a Huntley & Palmers label take-over of Room 3. He’ll be playing alongside Brian d’Souza aka Auntie Flo and other label mates...

  • After the seemingly never-ending winter chill, the sun is finally shining down on the northern hemisphere and, as if that wasn’t enough to bring some warmth and happiness to everyone, our buddy Homeboy has done an awesome exclusive mix for i-D online.

  • After the techno/bass stylings of ‘The Filth’ EP on his own self-titled label Chicago Damn is  back with the ‘Bizarre Sex No 4’ EP, a gorgeous limited run 12” that would’ve sat proudly in the discography of many a classic Chi-town label.

  • Homeboy comes with a sample house vibe on this one. He chopped up an old macedonian disco classic from Kire Mitrev and built it to a refreshing deep house hymn that gives you a reminder of the days when house and hip hop met somewhere in between...

  • After a brief hiatus from Ilija Rudman, whose music has dominated many a discoid DJ’s sets globally through out the last decade, the Adriatic synth wizard is back with new remixes and co-productions
